GDS Asia is integral to our global strategy with Operating Executives based in Singapore and Istanbul. We have long been active in Asia going back to the 1980’s, even before GDS had local team members there.

Several of GDS’s Advisory Board Members are from the region and, to this day, are an important source of insight and knowledge for operating in Asia.

Many of our global portfolio companies have significant operations in Asia, particularly in Japan and Greater China. GDS Asia’s dedicated Operating Executives support our global portfolio companies in their ongoing sales, marketing, and sourcing initiatives in the region.

GDS Asia allows us to evaluate global client opportunities within Asia during our investment process in order to better underwrite the risks and opportunities associated with business in the region as a whole.
